Humble Beginnings
Kimono Reeves is an ambient/electronic dance/rock band located in Austin, TX found in 2023. Reeves (rhythm guitar/vocals), ASA (dj/electronic percussion), Jason Miller (lead guitar/back up vocals) started the project as a way to combine their musical influences such as Pink Floyd, Bob Moses, Neil Francis, Tame Impala, Ben Bohmer, Gardenstate, Jungle, Alice & Chains, & Manchester Orchestra. Community comes first. The bands mission statement: "those who seek to meet the needs of others, their needs will be met. Those who focus on their own fulfillment will never be made full.". This motto has helped build a community of musicians, artist, and creatives dedicated to shining a light on the local Austin Scene.
The Big Ask
We are Kimono Reeves, a band dedicated to the community and people. For those who have never thought to know how the sausage is made, it takes a lot of time, commitment, passion, and help for a community. People are always asking how they can help. Things like following our socials, commenting, sharing, and even financial assistance. We work suuuuuuper hard at our day jobs to afford the gear, the studio time, audio/visuals, etc. There's a lot that goes into a production and it is our goal to provide you with the best experience that we can possibly put together each and every show. Shows are to help the masses let go and find joy in community, connection, dancing, cathartic release, etc. If you are interested in investing financially, click here.
